What We're Reading
Few things offer warmth and comfort quite the way a riveting novel can. From romance and thrillers to personal narratives and sci-fi, stories help us heal, offer hope, and allow us to stop out of our own lives and into someone else's for just a bit.
Here are a few of our team reads in 2022.
Book Lovers
by Emily Henry
“That’s the thing about women. There’s no good way to be one. Wear your emotions on your sleeve and you’re hysterical. Keep them tucked away where your boyfriend doesn’t have to tend to them and you’re a heartless b1tch.” 7 pages in. A non-romance romance novel. Pick it up.
This Time Tomorrow
by Emma Straub
If the movies Sliding Doors and Groundhog Day and the books In Five Years and The Midnight Library all collided and each of their best elements made a super book, it would be this. It's not a "sci-fi" ish time travel book, but one that will give you all the feels + definite nostalgia.
Local Woman Missing
by Mary Kubica
Women are disappearing from a once-peaceful community.
After an elusive search that yields more questions than answers, the case eventually goes cold.
11 years later, one of them returns - a child. A domestic thriller where some people will stop at nothing to keep the truth buried.
